the Custard Filling:

  • 2 cups (500ml) whole milk
  • 1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 Apple Topping:

  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional Garnish:

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Custard

In a medium saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a smooth custard (about 5–7 minutes).
