Parker Brothers introduced Monopoly, one of the world’s most famous board games, in 1935 during the Great Depression. Consequently, the vintage metal game pieces, or tokens, quickly became iconic aspects of the game. Crafted from die-cast metal for their durability and weight, the first tokens included familiar items like the top hat, thimble, iron, boot, battleship, and cannon. Usage
