Soft oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips

2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Dry Ingredients:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 cups of quick-cooking oats
Mixed Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper or leave them ungreased.
Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 3 to 4 minutes using a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed.
Add the liquid ingredients: Add the eggs one at a time to the creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract.
