I had this for dinner last night, and it was amazing!

2 big eggs

1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

Use half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of pepper.

1 teaspoon of dried thyme

Half a cup of ketchup

Two tablespoons of brown sugar.

To make the mashed potatoes:

Amount of Ingredients

2 pounds of peeled and chopped potatoes.

1/2 cup of milk

Butter without salt, 1/4 cup.

Add salt and pepper according to your preference.

Regarding the topping:

Amount of Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of grated cheddar cheese

Chopped fresh parsley to decorate.

Directions:

1. Prepare the Meatloaf:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Place the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • In a small bowl, mix the ketchup and brown sugar. Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

2. Make the Mashed Potatoes:

  • While the meatloaf is baking, boil the potatoes in salted water until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

3. Add the Topping:

  • Once the meatloaf is done baking, sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top and return it to the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.

4. Serve:

  • Slice the meatloaf and serve it with the creamy mashed potatoes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for added color and flavor. Enjoy!
