EASY MADE ITALIAN MEATLOAF

1/2 cup (80g) finely chopped bell pepper (optional)
1/2 cup (120ml) marinara sauce (plus extra for topping, if desired)
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (or 1 tbsp fresh Italian herbs, chopped)
Salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs,
Parmesan cheese, milk, ketchup, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, bell pepper (if using), marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix until well combined, but don’t overmix.
Shape Meatloaf:
Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet or a loaf pan.
Shape into a loaf, about 6-8 inches long and 4 inches wide.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
If you like, you can spread additional marinara sauce on top of the meatloaf during the last 10 minutes of baking for extra flavor.
Rest and Serve:
Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps it hold together better when cut.
