Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese

1 teaspoon salt: Essential for bringing out all the flavors in the dish.
1/2 teaspoon black pepper: Adds a slight kick and balances the richness of the meat.
2 large onions, thinly sliced: Caramelized to perfection, adding sweetness and depth.
2 tablespoons butter: Used for caramelizing the onions, contributing to their rich flavor.
1 cup beef broth: Absorbed by the onions, intensifying their flavor and adding moisture.
8 slices Swiss cheese: Melts beautifully on top of the meatloaf, providing a creamy finish.
Instructions
Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 pounds of ground beef, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup of milk, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
Using your hands or a spoon, mix the ingredients until they are well combined, making sure the breadcrumbs and Parmesan are evenly distributed.
Form the Meatloaf:
Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and carefully place it in your crockpot. Ensure the loaf is even, so it cooks uniformly.
Caramelize the Onions:
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the 2 large thinly sliced onions.
Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they become golden brown and caramelized. This process should take about 20-25 minutes.
